Circle of Stillness meets twice a month on Sundays (check dates below) from 9:30 - 11:30 am at the North Shore School of Dance, 505 Laurel Avenue across from the Highland Park library. We are a facilitator peer-led sitting group.
Practice includes silent or guided meditation, dharma talk or activity, and discussion. We have a limited supply of cushions and a few chairs. If you have your own cushion or bench please bring it with you. (Floors are tiled.)
There is no cost to attend, but donations are accepted to help with operating expenses. Donations are used to pay it forward to North Shore School of Dance for generously renting their space and to provide support for the sangha.
We will not turn anyone away for lack of funds.
We welcome you - whether you’re new to meditation, an experienced practitioner, or anywhere in between. We seek to promote the inclusion and participation of people of diverse identities, including those of all races, ethnicities, cultures, sexual orientations, gender identities, classes, religions, political views, abilities, and ages, that all may feel welcome, safe and respected within this community.
