Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home.
~Basho (17th century Japanese poet)
This reminds me not to cling too tightly to the past and to savor each day with gratitude. We can only live in just this moment and since we are never standing still from a time perspective, the journey is indeed our home. When longing for the past or fantasy for the future arises, I've found it helpful to cultivate gratitude for the present moment, for being alive, for practice, for whatever guests are in my home just now.
